Microsoft is very excited to unleash the flagship operating system, Windows 8, which is expected to launch in October this year. The company is highlighting the features of the upcoming OS subsequent to the announcement.

Microsoft denotes the newest features as “File History.” After so much hype, it will be fair to say that everyone is waiting to know about more features of this OS. Windows 8 has innumerable features. For instance, in the File History feature it makes a backup of your personal files like contacts, my documents, desktop files and pictures, etc. through scanning them hourly. These files can be stored to a place of your choice rather than an external device. The company has configured this option as default. Therefore, you don’t need a setting to activate it. This is one of the best features as most users lose their personal files quite often.

The File History feature enables you to customize your settings. You can choose when you want to scan your files. The scan can vary form 10 minutes to a day and also set duration for history states.

It is a stunning feature in the upcoming operating system and provides a safe data backup. The classic Backup has always been a part of Microsoft’s OS. Therefore, the company has reintroduced it again.

Oh, just like Apple has been doing for a few years with Time Machine…
    Sigh, nothing new here then.
