Microsoft is ready to launch the next version of Office software that works with Windows 8 powered devices. Steve Ballmer, Microsoft’s chief executive officer said that the upgraded Office will offer unparalleled productivity and flexibility. It will be loaded with social and cloud features making your task a bit easier. The cloud feature will offer utmost performance when harmonized with Microsoft Windows 8 operating system.

To avoid competition from Google and Jive, the company will introduce Web-based versions of the Word, Excel and email programs as well as contribute social features to its marquee software. The updated Office will allow you to save documents to Microsoft’s Internet-based cloud storage service SkyDrive. This will enable you to access your files using tablets, computers and phones. The software will be available as a subscription that will use the cloud feature to steam applications to any Windows based PC.

Microsoft has made a grand entry after bringing touch screens and cloud services for customers. Social features comprise tools, which the company has planned to launch after purchasing the corporate social-network operator Yammer Inc. Yammer will offer a Facebook-like experience that will help team up with other employees.

People Card is a remarkable tool introduced in Office that will allow you to see your contacts as well as photos, status updates and information on whether others are online. Microsoft’s office suite will be available with Skype Internet-calling.

To rival Apple Inc.’s iPad, Microsoft’s Touch-enabled versions of Word, Excel, OneNote and PowerPoint will also be offered on its forthcoming Windows RT operating system expected to release in October. This OS is especially designed for tablet computers. The company has many expectations from its upgraded Office, which will be available for use soon. Get prepared to make the most out of the upcoming Microsoft’s Windows 8 OS.
